A Defenders Promo Sheet

I'm no artist, and have very limited photoshop abilities. Even so, a badly drawn picture, while not worth a thousand words, is good for around 500, which is exactly how much we're allowed to post on Tom's blog each day.

To that end...

I think that at least conveys the attitude I'm trying to describe for the crossover.

This brings up another possibility that we have this round of the MES, since we're running this blog. If there are any artists out there who would like to give us visual representations of our pitches in order to sell Sean (or possibly Tom) on our directions, we'd love to have your help.

I'm not asking for pros providing ready-for-print materials, just better covers (or character and costume designs, maybe? hmm...) than what I posted here, done in probably half the time if you know what you're doing.

You can email me at theknave@knaveofkrypton.com if you'd like to pitch in, and I'll let you know which projects we editors wouldn't mind some promo work for. This could be a helpful addition to the solicitations we'll periodically have to put up.

Great idea (I already have created a new X-Men costume, but since I don't have a scanner, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. But Sean hasn't yet given his okay for my Uncanny X-Men direction anyway).

And you're slowly starting to warm me up to the Defenders project. But it's still a bit too "Marvel under Joe Quesada" for me, and I still dislike the name.

Man, saying my pitch is "Marvel under Joe Quesada" is about the biggest compliment you could give it.

You've got some legitimate objections to the name, but I've got to say, this feels like a logical extension of the Defenders edict.

Of course, in his response to my She-Hulk ideas, Sean hinted that he's got a linewide crossover in his head, so I'm excited to hear what that's about.
